The Concept of ice cream machines changed forever on Memorial Day 1934.  Back then, Tom Carvel, the founder of Carvel Ice Cream, had to stop his ice cream truck due to a flat tire. Not wanting to loose the whole lot of ice cream in the truck, he decided to urgently sell his melting ice cream. Not only did he successfully sell all of his ice cream, but the crowd loved the idea. Two years later, he opened the world`s first store that deliberately sells soft ice cream.
